Traceable from Hive to Wrap:
We only use wax from The East Africa Wax Company, who work fairly with local beekeepers and provide stable jobs in their Kenyan production facility. It’s more expensive — but it’s better. You can feel good knowing your wrap is ethical, sustainable, and made with real supply chain transparency.
Jojoba oil, not olive oil:
We use jojoba because it performs better. It’s antibacterial and shelf-stable, and keeps wraps soft and crack-free even straight from the fridge. Olive oil? Cheaper, but it can oxidise over time and spoil. That’s not a risk we’re willing to take.

How it keeps food fresh:
Our wraps are made from cotton infused with food-grade beeswax, sticky resin from the damar tree and jojoba oil, a recipe that creates a flexible, breathable fabric with natural antibacterial properties.
- Beeswax makes the wrap waterproof and breathable, helping prevent mould and moisture buildup.
- Tree resin gives the wrap grip so it seals around food and containers.
- Jojoba oil softens the wax and prevents cracking, even straight from the fridge.
Together, they keep food fresher for longer, like a natural second skin.
